Baby Boy Birth Announcements

I recently became the proud father of a beautiful baby boy named Stephen. When I went to look for baby boy birth announcements, I wanted something special. Not just the same ordinary boring baby boy birth announcements, but cards that didn't look like normal baby boy announcements and baby girl announcements. I had seen hundreds of them, all in boring, sickly baby blues and pinks with bunnies and balloons on them, and other inane fare, and I really wanted something better from my baby boy birth announcements than that. What I wanted was something original.

Originally, I started with the idea that my baby boy birth announcements would somehow reflect the personality of Stephen, but lets face it. A new born baby doesn't have much personality. He's cute as all get out, but he doesn't do that much besides look around and drool most of the time, and really, what is the personality in that? I thought that maybe my baby boy announcement could reflect his curiosity, but there wasn't much to do that could show that. I tried including a baby announcement photo in the design of the baby boy birth announcements, but it didn't show anything about his curiosity – all babies look exactly the same. I probably could have included one of a completely different baby in the baby boy birth announcements, and no one would have even noticed!

Finally, I decided to just sit down and design the baby boy birth announcements by myself. I sat at my desk, took the phone off of the hook, and prepared to spend a long time sitting by myself with my pencils, pens, papers, and various stencils and design implements. I tried and tried, but nothing was happening, so that I finally got bored and began to thumb through some catalogs and magazines to kill the time. That was when I made the decision: I would design the baby boy birth announcements as a collage from all of the magazines that I had sitting around the house.

It was easier than it seemed, and had a unique, and creative look to it that wasn't like any baby boy birth announcement which has ever been seen before. I could cut out the lettering from a dozen different type faces, to create a homemade, childlike appearance for the whole thing, then on top of that, I could get all kinds of nice, abstract shapes as well as photos to decorate the thing. The finished product was a masterpiece.
